UTV Plans $100 million Nasdaq Listing; Sameer Nair To Head JV With US Broadcaster?

The Economic Times reports that UTV Software intends to raise around $100 million from Nasdaq. The company has also entered into a binding term sheet, for six channels, with a US Broadcaster, which plans to invest directly in UTV, post the company’s Nasdaq listing. Former COO of Star India, Sameer Nair is believed to be in talks to head the JV. More here. UTV’s youth channel, Astro, is expected to be launched in June, reports Indiantelevision.
