Sulekha.com Launches Yellow Pages On Mobile Phones

Sulekha.com, a leading Indian online community portal, has launched its Yellow Pages service on the WAP platform (wap.sulekha.com). Mobile phone users with GPRS and WAP capability will have access to some 400,000 business listings of Sulekha. Vineet Pabreja, Director - Interactive Services said, -€œMobile is an exciting space to be in. Presently, India has about 100 million mobile subscribers and we happen to be the first company in India delivering Yellow Pages in the WAP format. With the launch of Yellow Pages on WAP, mobile users can now access information easily and faster-€.
Sulekha Yellow Pages was launched six months ago in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. The Yellow Pages menu contains 15 main categories listing more than 300 business categories. They provide information on businesses in India, USA and Canada. The cities covered in India include Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai. [Via Press Release]
