Future Bazaar, CRS Health, Gold Cabs and Planet M will soon be offering Paymates mobile based payment solutions to their customers, as per a release from Paymate. Future Bazaar will also use PayMate to facilitate a ‘SMS-to-buy’ platform, online. Gold Cabs is a ‘Dial-a-Cab’ service in Mumbai, which will allow passengers to pay for their tariffs via Paymate.
Paymate had recently tied up with ‘Seijo and the Soul Dish’, a restaurant, for payment via the mobile.
Akshay Sharma, AVP Marketing, PR & Brand Development informs us that more such deals are in the offing and Paymate is looking to beef up its merchant portfolio before launching a marketing campaign. They have also introduced an IVRL based payment solution, wherein the customer is called back for confirming the transaction via IVRL, after SMSing for the payment. He says that Paymate offers online retailers a viable alternative to credit card payment. PayMate plans to offer merchants several transaction interfaces including an internet browser, mobile handset, landine or a PayMate EDC machine, depending upon the facilities available at the point of sale.
