MTNL To Roll Out IPTV In Delhi, Then Mumbai; Targets 200K Subscribers In Year One

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd‘s IPTV rollout in Delhi is round the corner. MTNL’s IPTV service, called -€œTRI-BAND,-€ will be launched initially in Delhi and then in Mumbai. It will target 200,000 broadband subscribers in the first year, and will ultimately be offered to its 3.9 million subscribers. Time Broadband is the content network provider.
Verimatrix, a leading digital content protection company, announced that its solutions -Verimatrix Content Authority System and VideoMark user-specific forensic watermarking - will be deployed on the MTNL Delhi network, which is a first for the company in Asia.
