MakeMyTrip Announces $13 Million Second Round Funding
We were the first to break this story on October 2. MakeMyTrip.com has officially announced that it has raised $13 million in its second round of funding. The investors include Helion Ventures, Sierra Ventures and existing investor SAIF Partners.
Sanjeev Aggarwal, Managing Director, Helion Ventures, and Tim Guleri, Managing Director, Sierra Ventures, will now join the board of directors. The board already has people like Philip C. Wolf, globally renowned travel guru, Sanjeev Bhikchandani, Founder and CEO, Naukri.com, and Frederic Lalonde, a former Expedia senior executive, Ravi Adusumalli of SAIF, besides senior management of MMT.
MakeMyTrip has projected a turnover of Rs 600 crore ($130 million) in current fiscal, up from Rs 200 crore ($42 million) last year.
