Cybermedia Dice Job Board Makes Operating Losses Of Rs 14 Million In H1 06-07

Indian specialty media house Cybermedia is yet to turn profitable in its job board business. Cybermedia Dice, the joint venture between the Indian publisher and the global online technology recruiter Dice, has made operating losses of Rs 14 million in the first half of this financial year ending September 30. The JV was formed in October 2004. Overall EBIDTA is however maintained at 17.2 per cent.
Cybermedia’s total income in Q2 ending September 30 has gone up by 24 per cent to Rs 263 million compared to Rs 212.8 million in Q2 last year. Revenues from internet business have gone up only by 14 per cent, while revenues from publishing business grew by 23 per cent, and content services by 79 per cent.  [Via CIOL]
