Canada’s Alchemic Dream In JV With Bangalore’s Comat For Back-office Support To Online Gaming Cos

It’s not just game development being outsourced, even the customer support and services in online gaming are out-sourced to back office companies. Alchemic Dream, a Canada-based provider of customer services for massively multiplayer online games (MMOGs), has entered into a joint venture with Bangalore’s Comat Technologies. The 50:50 JV will provide back-office support for developers and distributors of online games.
The JV will work out of Comat’s Mysore campus, which currently about 400 customer services professionals. It will initially have a dedicated team of six professionals at its support centre, and that will be expanded to 40 in the next 12 months. [Via Business Standard]
