Bollywood Meets Hollywood: Eros Picks Up Stake In Singapore’s VOD Channel Anytime

Leading international bollywood distributor Eros International has invested an undisclosed amount in ANYTIME, Singapore-based Video on-Demand (VoD) channel. The investment has the following terms: Eros International and ANYTIME will form a joint-venture, which will be majority owned by Eros International. This will deliver Hollywood movies on-Demand across digital platforms in India. The JV will also provide customized premium Hollywood content services to Indian service providers as well as direct to consumers over the Internet.
In addition, the companies will develop a Bollywood Video on-Demand channel that will be delivered across Asia Pacific, a statement from the company said. As part of the agreement Eros International will take a seat on the ANYTIME board. Eros has one of the largest libraries of bollywood movies. Eros is London-based and is promoted by Kishore Lulla. Rajshri Media recently launched a bollywood portal which would directly compete with Eros’ initiatives on the internet delivery of bollywood content.
