Yellojobs Goes Solo, Breaks Ties With NDTVjobs Within A Year
So is NDTV being forced to exit the jobs portal business or does it have plans to partner with other players? We’ll have to wait to get those answers. For now the news is that Yellojobs.com, which powered NDTVjobs.com, has decided to go solo within a year of partnering with NDTV. [via DailyIndia.com]
The main url http://in.yellojobs.com/, which used to link to the NDTVjobs site, no longer does. NDTVjobs.com still has all the content from Yellojobs though. The two companies had only recently announced the introduction of a referral system for online recruitment. But with the sudden breakup looks like things were not all hunky dory after all.

whatever be the reasons for the breakup, things look good for this yellojobs. already it has an experience of the e-recruitment market and they also have come up with so good a concept as yellorewards referral scheme (to my knowledge the first in india).

Update: ndtvjobs.com url doesn’t work anymore. it will lead you to in.yellojobs.com. also the ndtv is absent from the logo and all.

was expected. NDTV could have done a lot of things with this alliance but did not. I hear that they do not treat their partners very well….?

Insider info says that NDTVjobs domain is owned by NDTV and Yellojobs.com wants to invest in its own brand name after the launch. Their YellowRewards concept is a killer application service that has given them teh confidence to break away.
NDTV anyways does not have any focus on internet partnerships… look at ndtvtravel in the past & now jobs. Yellojobs I suppose would have done more good to NDTV than the other way round.
Good action in the jobs market. Yellojobs now will surely have to advertise well to get their due after teh break up.

according to the inside information, yellojobs have decided to walk away from NDTV and will market its own brand name (well we all know this), but the recent development is that the whole IT department is now closed, there is no development happening. looks like this is just another job site, lost in fog.
