It turns out NDTV Convergence won’t be hiring an external candidate to replace Sanjay Trehan who, in April, moved to MSN. Popular anchor and NDTV Networks CEO Vikram Chandra will hold additional responsibility as CEO of Convergence.

NDTV Convergence is a subsidiary of NDTV Networks.

The broadcaster’s digital media division has also named Suparna Singh as deputy CEO and managing editor. Singh was managing editor of NDTV MetroNation, which scaled down operations recently.

“Vikram needs no introduction at all except to say that has of course been head of our internet operations before - in fact he helped NDTV.com grow virtually from scratch to one of India’s most popular websites. In many ways this is his first love—and we are very happy to have him back—and to take it to a new leadership position again,” an internal memo, signed by NDTV promoters Radhika and Prannoy Roy, said.
