Thomson (NYSE: TOC) is leveraging it’s investment in Paprikaas Animation Studios: it’s Technicolor Services division, which had invested an undisclosed sum in in Paprikaas Animation Studios has entered into a strategic alliance with Dreamworks Animation SKG to develop animation capabilities in India.  DreamWorks Animation will assist Technicolor in the recruitment, training and development of animation talent to the Paprikaas facility in India. Paprikaas’ operations have recently relocated to Thomson’s new 100,000-square-foot digital content production facility in Bangalore, and will serve as Thomson’s post-production center in India. Paprikaas had divested stake eying a larger share of the outsourcing pie for theatrical, broadcast, commercial advertising, animation and video game segments… and looks like they’re getting it now.
