Business news channel NDTV Profit and business daily The Financial Express are in talks to forge a content partnership. NDTV Profit is run by Prannoy Roy-headed broadcaster NDTV Ltd and The Financial Express is published by The Indian Express Ltd, which also publishes the eponymous broadsheet. Spokespersons at both companies confirmed that they were in talks. “We are working on the modalities and we hope to finalize an arrangement by mid-September,” a spokesperson at The Indian Express Ltd said.

In April, CNBC TV18 forged a content alliance with HT Media’s Mint. New entrant ET Now from Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd makes good use of the newsroom of The Economic Times, the group’s business daily, which, in turn, carries stories and interviews by the channel’s reporters. UTVi, the business news channel from Ronnie Screwvala’s UTV Softare Communications, has an arrangement with Business Standard.

contentSutra earlier reported that NDTV Profit and UTVi were in talks with Bloomberg for a content partnership.
