T-Series To Launch Web Store For Music Downloads

If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. After attempts at preventing piracy of its content online, music company T-Series has decided to embrace the web: the company intends to launch a music store at its website offering online downloads of songs, reports Business of Cinema. T-Series is likely to provide scratch cards for purchasing music online from the site, but there’s no comment on whether the songs will have DRM or not.

By the looks of it, the webstore will just be a section (just another tab?) of the main T-Series site, and not a separate site by itself - that’s disappointing. Currently, the site allows downloads of wallpapers, screensavers and ringtones, all via by Hungama’s short code 4646.
