Seventymm to Invest $17 Million For National Expansion

Bangalore based online DVD rental company Seventymm is throwing out some numbers, which may or may not mean anything: it says it will invest $15 million (around Rs 637 million) over the next five years as it targets a nationwide presence. The company has raised about $10 million from in funding to invest in acquisitions and brand building. In Q4 of this yea, the company will spend about Rs 80-100 million in mass media campaigns, which include both online and offline marketing,” saidSeventymm COO Subhanker Sarker, in this story.

The company, which currently operates in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Chandigarh, aims to touch a 4 million subscriber base in five years. The company does not have any plans of setting up offline stores, unlike competitors like BigFlicks and others.
