Scrabulous’ Fate To Be Decided Today?

Hectic negotiations are underway between Hasbro, Scrabulous and Electronic Arts (NSDQ: ERTS), and one might either see the Kolkata based Agarwalla brothers either sell or shut down the application today, according to TechCrunch. Hasbro woke up to the opportunity apparently after Scrabulous claimed to make around $25,000 a month in ad revenue, and is now apparently trying to push the Agarwalla brothers into selling the game to Electronics Arts (which has the license for the online version of Scrabble). There’s no official statement on the negotiations yet, and we’ve contacted Scrabulous for comment. Meanwhile, the application is still up on Facebook (I have a game in progress), and parts of the site which were down a couple of days ago, are back up. More as it happens.
