Reliance Mobile has partners with BBC Worldwide to offer its BBC World News channel through mobile TV streaming. Reliance’s unicast service started back in 2004, offering news, sport, music and fashion programming. The BBC deal is aimed at offering 24/7 live news coverage. BBC south Asia global channels general manager Nachiket Pantvaidya: “It has been our endeavour that the highest number of mobile users in India can have access to the in-depth, credible and up-to-the minute news coverage that the BBC is synonymous with.”
