Ratings Update: ET Now Slips To The Bottom Despite Sustained Marketing Campaign

ET Now, the latest addition to business news channels in the country, has slipped to the bottom in the latest weekly ratings. According to data from TAM Media Research, the channel, broadcast by Times Global Broadcasting, managed just 7% marketshare in metros for the week ended 4 July, while the nearest competitor, UTVi, managed a 13% share. In all India figures, ET Now is tied with UTVi—a unit of UTV Software Communications—with 6% market share.

ET Now hasn’t fully rolled out its distribution yet and was not available on DTH platforms on budget day—the biggest annual event for business news channels. The lower ratings, compared with the previous week, would come as a dampner for the channel as it happened despite a sustained marketing drive through the Times Group’s publications and outdoor campaigns.
