Railtel is planning to install WiFi at a Railway Station in Bangalore within 2-3 months, reports ET. That will be followed by installation of WiFi at Jaipur station. The initial plan is to install WiFi in 50 stations.

I think the airports could take a leaf out of Railtel’s book…Shailesh Tiwari, AGM (Business Development & Public Relations) of Railtel Corporation of India had told ContentSutra at India Telecoms 2006 that they are targeting WiFi at 500 stations overall, and prepaid vouchers can be purchased for using the WiFi. Apart from this Railtel had plans to set up 82 cybercafes by July 2007. They make around Rs. 40,000-50,000 per cybercafe per month.
