Publicis has rebranded Solutions, the India-Singapore marketing arm, as Solutions | Digitas. The new entity will be headquartered in New Delhi and will operate in six cities in India (Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata) as well as in Singapore. Digitas was acquired by Publicis in Jan 2007 for $1.3 billion. Srikant Sastri and Kanika Mathur, the founders of Solutions, will lead the Indian operations of Soutions | Digitas.

Publicis has already acquired Delhi based advertising agency Capital advertising. We had reported last year that the Groupe was shopping around for digital agencies, looks like the high valuations have made them think otherwise. This mark’s its digital entry in the space 4 months after rival WPP acquired 75% stake in Quasar in Nov 2007.
