Palador has acquired rights to 300 films this year for distribution via Home Video, Theatre and TV in India, as per Indiantelevision. That takes the company’s catalog of films to 750 films. Interestingly, UTV has broken its ties with the company. As per a statement released by UTV:

“UTV has terminated all business relations with Palador, that is had formed under the brand of UTV-Palador, for its world cinema business with immediate effect, due to material breach of terms of agreement by Palador and its co-promoters Gautam Shiknis & Mohan Polamarasetty. UTV is on track to operate the world cinema business under the brand name ‘Olive’. UTV plans include roll out of a DVD label under the ‘Olive’ brand name and its television channel on world cinema would launch by year-end. “

I’m wondering about who Palador will now source this content to.
