Venture capital firm Norwest Venture Partners’ managing partner Promod Haque cites consumer Internet space and in that mobile Internet as key interest areas, in an interview with Mint. The VC has two or three bets in that space such as Yatra.com and Sulekha. Haque expects mobile Internet to be bigger than broadband, PC-based Internet. “The reason why it (consumer Internet) continues to be an interesting sector is the mobile aspect to it,” Haque told Mint.
The second area of interest to Haque is companies that are more in the area of product development, such as Persistent Systems, and KPOs (knowledge process outsourcing).
