Salil Kumar has been appointed COO-Business for NDTV Convergence, reports exchange4media. He joins from the operators side - he was GM-Strategic Alliances and Business Development for Bharti Airtel. Prior to joining Airtel, Kumar was VP-Sales and Syndication with the Hungama Group. He has also worked with HT Media. He will report to NDTV Convergence CEO Sanjay Trehan, who has announced that the company is launching a mobile portal. Kumar will be focusing on the monetization of the mobile portal, and the global video content syndication business.
