Reader Mohak Gambhir writes in to inform us that Info Edge (BOM: 532777) (Naukri) will host its to-be-launched education information portal at Shiksha.com. Hitesh Oberoi, COO of Info Edge, had earlier spoken about the portal as a site that brings together colleges and students seeking college admission - the standard “handshake enabling” business model for Naukri. The site is going to host college information, and Naukri’s got a pretty good domain - Shikhsa is Education in Hindi, just as Naukri means Job. Other educational information portals include pagalguy and coolavenues.
