imageThirty eight-year old Arun Tadanki, president, Asia Pacific at Monster.com, is joining Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) MD (South Asia, Middle East and Africa), Medianama reports. A Yahoo India spokesperson confirmed the development to us. Tadanki will take over from Gopal Krishna, head of audience for emerging markets, who was also serving as interim CEO since 2007. “Gopal was responsible for two roles so far and once Arun joins, Gopal will continue in his earlier role,” a Yahoo India spokeswoman said. Tadanki will join Yahoo next month.

Tadanki joined Monster in April 2002, when the company acquired JobsAhead.com, a portal where Tadanki was head of sales and marketing since 2002. Prior to that, he was head of culinary business at Nestle India, where he spent eight years. An alumnus of IIT Madras and IIM Ahmedabad, Tadanki is also a part-time DJ, focussing on rock music from the 1970s and 80s, according to his LinkedIn profile.

May be he can raise the tempo for Yahoo India.

Update: We had earlier reported that Tadanki was joining as Yahoo India MD, as a Yahoo India spokesperson told us that was all the company could confirm at that point. We have now received confirmation about his correct designation and have updated accordingly.

  • Mr Arun, Sorry to say that you are heading a company which is worst as per my experience in Internet Services. Want to know the reality ask me. Yahoo India is a group of cheaters who ask people to purchase domain, take money and then ask who are you Sir. I have got losses and I will recommend all “PLACE YAHOO IN YOUR JUNK FOLDER. IT IS THE WORST COMPANY.”
