Mauj Signs Up Sameera Reddy For Mobile Content
Mauj Telecom has signed up Bollywood actress Sameera Reddy for creating mobile content related to the actress, reports Techtree. The content will be premiered initially via Essar’s mobile retail chain “The Mobile Store”, as well as via telecom operators. Content includes ringtones, SMS tones, alarm tones, caller ring back tones (CRBTs), themes and wallpapers. By the looks of it, games are not a part of this deal, since Sameera Reddy has an exclusive two year deal with Jump Games (formerly Paradox Studios).
Also, with organized retail coming into the picture, including mobile shops like Subhiksha, The Mobile Store and MobileNxt, an opportunity seems to be emerging for content providers to add retail as an additional revenue stream. I wonder what the margins would be like in the retail scenario; certainly not as skewed in favor of the telcos.

How do “use” Sameera Reddy on CRBT and Ringtone content. All movies she would have done / will do form copyright ownership of producer and not actress/
Additionally she is not a singer and we yet can’t “see her” specially shot video on ringtone/ ring back tone services. What does signing up Sameera reddy means? Games are out of deal. so what else can you do with Sameera Reddy’s exclusivity? It will be great to follow the outputs.
Seems like a few VAS companies are doing anything to remain in news. BTW what about making money? Give a Déjà Vu of internet’s bubble days.
Last , I heard they are thinking of launching movie production service too :)
Aah- obviously mobile phone /device targeted movies - dumb.

Hi Vas-Guy. Truly said, you cannot have songs and movie content on this spl. Vas pack as the industry is too used to it. But there can be certain other ways of using a star and providing audible content in market. Secondly as read from various news articles Mauj has introduced a new extention to real tones as alarm Tones. So now there is sing tones, sms tones and alarm tones in market. Definitely a smart move. And by the way who will not like to be waken by Sameera Reddy? I am sure still lot of innovative content will be visible in market in near future. So lets stay tuned.

Right, the question was how will Sameera reddy ‘s voice wake you up or ring on yr phone or do a real-tone :-)
All these seems not actions of a heroine struggling for her space (read: voice) to be recognized in bollywood audience!
I remember Hungama doing the same with Diya Mirza at 3GSM.
There surely are better artist for exclusive or brand attachments.
Lets keep our eyes glued !

Truly said there are lots of stars better placed in market.I am sure such different relation will not just end at creating tones. Also this relation looks to be a small experiment of new content genre. So lets stay tuned.

Here is what they can do…..
1.they can create a contest on a “Date with Sameera Reddy in Bahamas”. So anybody who wants to be eligible for that has to send a unique sms on how hot she is or something like that.
2. Take her to a photo studio…make her strip to a bare minimum and create a whole catalogue of images, videos, mms, video tones and whatever else the world cares for. This will work.
There are more things but then somebody has to pay to hear more :), the world of content!
