Can’t say we didn’t see this coming: Kreeda Games has tied up with NDTV Imagine for their dance show ‘Nachle Ve’, reports exchange4media. This is for their massively multiplayer online game (MMOG), Dance Mela, a localized version of Super Dance Online by 9you. Kreeda intends to launch online dancing competitions, and an Avatar of Saroj Khan has been created for the game. Details at e4m.

I have the CD, but have never played Dance Mela; am told it’s not as easy as it seems. I’ve posters promoting the game at Reliance Web Worlds as well. The TV tie-up will help create awareness of the game, and attract first-time gamers. One needs to keep in mind that NDTV Imagine is a new channel, so one really can’t say whether the show is likely to be a success or not. There are already other dance shows on TV that ‘Nachle Ve’ will compete with. Kreeda Games has been funded by IDG Ventures and Softbank (Japan). I also had doubts about whether Dance Mela would work on a slow connection in India: Sudhir Sethi of IDG Ventures had said last year that the game works on a V-Data card connection. Kreeda intends to make money by purchase of in-game items.
