CDMA based Mobile operator Tata Teleservices has launched JuiceCaster, the mobile social networking service in India. JuiceCaster, from LA based Juice Wireless, allows users to create and consume rich media content - allowing them to post videos to social networking sites like Orkut, MySpace, Facebook and others. It also allows users to share photos with their mobile and online contacts, and enables Facebook and Twitter status updates. A tie-up with an operator will mean they wont have to spend as much on promotion if the app is available on operator decks. Earlier this year, Nick Desai, CEO of Juice Wireless had mentioned they’re looking at a Q3 2008 launch. Juice Wireless has raised a total of $17 Million in three rounds of funding - from 21Ventures, Qualcomm (NSDQ: QCOM) and Citizen’s Communications.[ via release]
