Jagran, Yahoo India Announce Tie-Up For Hindi Portal; To Share Revenues

We reported this first in January this year. Now, here is the official announcement. Leading Hindi language media house Jagran Prakashan has said that it would launch a new current affairs portal in Hindi in partnership with Yahoo India, reports PTI (Via Economic Times). The launch is expected in the second half of this year.
The existing portal - Jagran.com - would be integrated with Yahoo India. Jagran and Yahoo India will share the revenues generated by the portal. Yahoo India will managing the advertising sales and adserving. They would also partner in distributing Yahoo India’s search and small and medium business products. According to our sources, this is expected to generate about Rs 8 crore a year in revenues initially.
