Bigflix.com, the video-on-demand and video rental service from the Reliance ADA Group, today named Preetam Shah as vice-president for international business development. Shah is currently VP for US venture operations at group firm Reliance Capital. His responsibilities at BigFlix will be in addition to those at Reliance Capital, the company said in a statement. “He will head the international market for the video-on-demand division of the business and will largely be responsible to drive and enhance BIGFlix presence in North America and other international markets,” according to the statement. BigFlix COO Kamal Gianchandani said the company’s VOD service has received the most users from US and Canadian markets since the beginning. 

Shah is an MBA in finance and strategy from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
