Indiatimes Relaunches Site; Integrates Virgin Radio and Digg-Like Site

Indiatimes, the portal owned by Times of India Group, has redesigned its website after many years of their circa-1999 design. They have added a showcase tab in place of the daily news content, which has been shifted below. Besides other features it has integrated its iTimes social networking site in it. Also, new, it has integrated Virgin Radio to the navigation scheme, effectively integrating the UK live radio service which it bought on the website. More focus on other verticals including auto and a new meta-aggregator digg’ish site called Hotklix.com, which is a new launch.

Also, interestingly, it has integrated a YouTube third party-players on its homepage, which is probably a first among major portals anywhere. Most of this is Zoom content, which makes sense because the channel is owned by Times Group.

Please don’t call it redesign. It’s the same old site with 2 new products….. nothing gr8…ooh sorry, not even good. Indiatimes lost it’s flavour.

Have to agree with Dhiraj - the changes are too minor to be called a ‘redesign’.
