Hindi language TV network, India TV, plans to start live streaming of TV content on its website indiatvnews.com early next month. The site has been in beta for a while. The site will essentially offer live streaming of India TV content (thanks to JumpTV platform), and also access to archives. It is not going to be a general news site like CNN.com. India TV CEO Chintamani Rao told Exchange4Media.com that “it is not a core activity for us”.
The company actually does not have a digital strategy. For one, they do not have a head yet to spearhead the web initiative.
