HT Media To Launch Job Portal?

HT Media has closed a deal with recruitment portal technology provider Redmatch, reports Ha’aretz. The size or the details of the deal have not been disclosed, nor is there any information on exactly what Redmatch is
So I’m wondering whether HT is starting a separate job portal, or planning to integrate jobs into its existing portals. HT execs have refused to comment on the deal or their plans for a job portal. HT already has a classifieds site HTClassifieds.biz. Their portals include Hindustantimes.com, mobile content site 4242.in, HT Next, Hindustan...some of which seem to beinaccessible/down right now.

Very true Duhyant if HT is coming up with the same vertical and strategies as other players are doing, there is no room for them (job portal) in the market,. but they can do well if they would come up with two things either they can acquire any existing job portal or else they can make it totally different concept like my jobs in Pune has done they have come up with the city centric recruitment solution.

i mean HT needs to be extra ordinary conceptual and strategical before launching its Job Portal

  • i think a plain vanilla Recruitment portal will not be a good move for HT . although they can exploit some synergies with there Print Media operation . which can work as a differentiator.

i seriously think that there is a big void for recruitment related services in india . HT can use its Distribution reach to launch these services and can make money .

HT has been doing rounds of starting a job portal since donkey years already. What they lack is the competency & a business model.

I dont think their is any room for any more job portals in indian e recruitment industry. As their is already so much competition between the existing players.
Three of them are pretty big: Naukri, Timesjobs & Monsterindia. If HT is also planning a mee too kind of product then i dont think they are doing the right thing. Only two things can make the difference:

    1. Product Differential.
    2. A different Business Model.
