Outsourcing major HCL Technologies is reportedly in talks with broadcasting media houses for offshoring media and entertainment services. What’s interesting is that as per Karthik Murugan, group manager—media & entertainment and telecom for HCL, the deal size appears to have increased. Murugan tells the Financial Express that projects are now in the $30-50 million range, up from $1 million two-three years ago. HCL is currently running a pilot. There have been two other major deals in the Media and Entertainment outsourcing business - between NDTV and Genpact (called NGen) and TV18 and Infosys.
