Gurmeet Singh, formerly the MD of Music Today, will be joining Rajshri Media as CEO in June 2008, reports Radioandmusic.com. Singh has confirmed his move to the publication, and we confirmed it from sources as well. Singh joins Rajshri Media with a fair amount of experience in the music domain: he had been with Music Today for six years before which he was with Sony (NYSE: SNE) BMG for around three and a half years. Singh has said that he’d want to see Rajshri Media become one of the best “broadband studios” in the country - I suggests that Rajshri Media will be producing more “for online” content. We’ll have more on this later.

Sources have also informed ContentSutra that Music Today will merge with the Lifestyle segment of Living Media (India Today Group); Mala Sekhri, the head of the Lifestyle segment, which includes magazines like Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, Prevention and others, will take over from Singh.
