Google (NSDQ: GOOG) and Sify are expanding their relationship beyond just search: Per a new agreement, Google Apps will power Sify’s chat, Sifymail, and online documents as well as other unspecified applications. Business terms of the deal have not been disclosed. In the prepared quote, Sify CFO Raju Vegesna notes the companies have a “confluence of the mission” and that the new agreement will improve the quality of services delivered to Sify customers. Already, Sify.com’s search is powered by Google (and it’s labeled as such)—it’s not clear if any of the new services will bear Google’s logo, or if this will purely be a white labeling of the technology.
