Google Adds Tamil To News, More Languages To Orkut and Gujarati, Marathi and Bengali To Search

Google (NSDQ: GOOG) is adding to and building out it’s local language engine and porting it across their product range. Tamil has been added to Google News, Search, Blogger and Orkut. In addition, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam have been added to Orkut. Three more languages, a total of 8 out of 22 official Indian languages, are now supported by Search. Gujarati, Marathi and Bengali have been added in addition to previously integrated Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu.
