Former Star Executive Ravi Menon Named Head Of Programming At Sun TV

Sun TV Network today named Ravinath Menon head of programming. The network operates 20 satellite channels in four southern languages. Prior to this, Menon was an executive vice-president at Star India and headed Star One channel. Star India is a unit of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp (NYSE: NWS).

Menon has also worked at Zee, Sony (NYSE: SNE) and Asianet. “In this newly created position, he will oversee the strategy, development and management of all on-air content produced by Sun TV Network,” the company said in a statement

At Sun TV, Menon will report to former Star India colleague Ajay Vidyasagar, who joined the Chennai-based broadcaster as COO in June.
