Facebook Users In India Are Last Ones With Scrabulous Access

For now, Facebook users in India are the only ones with access to popular word game Scrabulous through the social network. A few weeks ago, developers Rajat and Jayant Agarwalla pulled the Scrabble knockoff from Facebook in the U.S. and Canada following a complaint by toy company Hasbro but all other users still had access. But, as AP reports,  the social network said Monday it has barred access in most countries following a formal complaint by Mattel, which holds rights outside the U.S. and Canada. (EA produces the official game in North America; RealNetworks (NSDQ: RNWK) has the rest.)

This time, the brothers refused to withdraw the program themselves and Facebook stepped in. The main exception: India, where Mattel has filed an infringement lawsuit. Jayant Agarwalla told AP he was surprised Facebook didn’t wait for the lawsuit to be resolved. Curious, does anyone know the average length of time for an intellectual property lawsuit to be resolved in Indian courts?
