ET NOW Is Close To Announcing Content Deal With ThomsonReuters

ET Now, the upcoming business channel from Times Global Broadcasting Pvt Ltd, is close to announcing a content deal with Thomson Reuters (NSDQ: TRIN), according to a person familiar with the matter. Reuters held a 25.82% stake in Times Global Broadcasting, which also broadcasts the general news channel Times Now, till January 2008. Times Now was launched in January 2006. Times Global Broadcasting is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd, the publisher of The Times of India and The Economic Times. BCCl CEO Ravi Dhariwal declined comment.

Update: A spokesperson for Thomson Reuters also declined comment.
