Educomp Acquires 76% In e-Learning Company ThreeBrix

Educomp Solutions, a Delhi-based IT-enabled education company, has acquired a 76 per cent stake in ThreeBrix E-Services, a startup that owns online education portal Learninghour.com. Educomp has invested Rs 2.5 crore ($568,000) in the company for 76 per cent stake.
The acquisition will help ThreeBricks leverage Educomp’s content library for providing tutoring in multiple modes - online, offline and through learning centers mainly focused on serving Indian students. The instructor led tutoring market is estimated at Rs 5,000 crore ($1.13 billion) in India.
