Full year results just in from Info Edge (BOM: 532777) India (Naukri.com): the company has reported a net profit of Rs. 55.48 crores for the financial year ending March 31st 2008 (FY-08), up 105 percent from FY-07. Revenues were at Rs. 239.66 crores, up 63 percent from the last fiscal. Sanjiv Bikhchandani, CEO of Info Edge has said that the company expects new products and features to drive growth. He does mention that this growth comes despite a volatile environment

Revenues for the quarter were at Rs. 68.99 crores. The company has mentioned in the past that the last quarter is usually the best for them since clients, particularly in the recruitment domain (Naukri.com), tend to do their hiring in Q4 to meet their budget targets - however, net profit from Q4 was at Rs. 15.61 crores, comparable with the Q2 net profit of Rs. 15.14 crores. However, net profit for Q4-08 was around 54 percent higher than the Rs. 10.13 crores recorded for Q4 last fiscal. Staff cost for the company increased by 51.5 percent for the year due to hiring for new businesses, while advertising cost increased by 59.5 percent. This resulted in an increase in expenses for the company by 49.5 percent to Rs. 1610.11 million.

During the fiscal, Info Edge spent around Rs. 2 crores on acquisition and strategic alliances. More as we have it.
