CyberMedia Buys UBMs Stake In Publishing JV

CyberMedia India appears to be in consolidation mode: the company has acquired the entire equity in UBM-CyberMedia LLC for an undisclosed sum, buying out the stake of their partner United Business Media (LSE: UBM) LLC in the 50:50 joint venture. UBM-CyberMedia LLC will be rechristened CyberMedia LLC.

CyberMedia LLC publishes the monthly magazine Global Services, and has a website http://www.globalservicesmedia.com, focusing on the outsourcing and offshoring industry. As per the release, the magazine has a print order of 30,000 in North America and Western Europe, and the website gets 21,000 unique visitors a month. Pradeep Gupta, Chairman CyberMedia Group, has said that this is a part of their global expansion plan. A couple of months ago, Cybermedia had also bought Cybermedia-Dice, their JV with Dice Holdings. Then in January they acquired US based TDA Group, which provides marketing consulting, content development, web and graphics design to the IT industry. I wonder if we’re going to see a complete revamp of CyberMedia publications and websites, since they’ll have more control over their properties now.
