CNBC TV18 And Mint To Enter Into An Editorial And Marketing Alliance

imageCNBC TV18, India’s top business news channel in terms of ratings, and Mint, HT Media Ltd’s business daily, are entering into a marketing and editorial alliance under which CNBC will feature some editorial content from Mint and vice-versa, according to a source at one of the companies. We could not ascertain the exact nature of the editorial partnership. On the marketing side, the two brands may join hands to do some events, our source said. CNBC TV18 is part of the Network18 Group and Hindustan Times, HT Media’s flagship paper, has in the past joined hands with CNN IBN, another news channel from the Network18 Group.

A TV18 spokesperson declined comment and Mint publisher Vivek Khanna was unavailable for comment.

Who leverages whom… for how long…..TV18 today is facing a challenge of class content in crowded businessnews marketplace… wherein Mint with low circulation despite good content….. for Mint…leveraging TV18's onair & online dominant position to give boost to the circulation will be paramount while being challenging.
