Another portal from BAG Films: the broadcaster has launched a website for its entertainment news channel E24, reports Agencyfaqs. BAG Convergence also plans to launch mobile sites for their two portals - E24 and News24.

The E24 site has a segment called “Showcase Yourself”, where users can upload their photos, videos, and audio. However, there’s nothing on how these profiles will reach “those who matter”. Maybe one should expect a cross-media show to drive usage of the site. The site doesn’t have much content yet - the download section just has a few film wallpapers. In terms of video, there are three segments: Bollywood Reporter, Filmy Cafe, and Party Abhi Baki Hai. There are entertainment focused blogs written by members of the E24 team, here…users required to register to comment…so much for encouraging participation. The idea should be to create a community for viewers of their channel online, and also enabling that community to create content for the channel. E24 intends to allow registered users to blog, and will also allow citizens to play paparazzi for celebrity content. E24 - the website, not the channel - will be competing against Buzz18 from Web18 and Bollywood Hungama from Hungama.
