Adlabs Founder Invests In iRock Media, Frameboxx

Adlabs founder Manmohan Shetty has been on an investment spree of sorts: he first invested in iRock Media, former Head of Animation at Adlabs Films, and has followed it up with an investment in Animation school Frameboxx. Business of Cinema reports that over Rs. 100 crores will be invested in iRock, though it doesn’t mention if the investment comes from Shetty alone. iRock has a roster of 8 projects, of which two are animated, and six are live action with animation. More at BoS. Shetty and Centrum Capital promoter Chandir Gidwani has acquired a majority stake in Frameboxx, reports ET. The two will invest as much as $8-10 million in the company over three years; foundd in December 2007, Frameboxx has 25 training centres, and plans to incorporate online training and VFX training as well.

lt’s nice to hear about stake of Adlabs in Frameboxx, it can lead to the formation of new production house with high quality CG & VFX , which is the need of the day.
